The funeral service for Kenneth Germany, age 59 of Ashland, will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 11 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Rev. David Holcombe and Rev. Noah Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Germany passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at his home. Born in Alexander City, Kenny has lived in Clay County since 1965. He was self-employed as a diesel mechanic, enjoyed fishing and riding his four-wheeler. He was an avid Alabama fan and a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Germany is survived by his mother, Dean S. Germany of Ashland; three sisters: Cheryl Patterson (Robert) of Millerville, Beverly Carr of Cragford and Angelia Kennedy (Jerry) of Millerville; one brother, Steve Germany (Bonnie) of Dadeville; several nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Ray Germany and two brothers: Danny Germany and William Germany.
Jerry Kennedy, Billy Carr, Adam Germany, Damion Heard, Stephen Denney and Rickey Smith will serve as pallbearers. Hospice of Clay County will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
