The Auburn Police Officer who was shot multiple times on Friday night is recovering at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. The Officer was transferred there on Friday night, where surgery was scheduled for today.
Our prayers continue to go out for the officer, the family and all officers involved directly or indirectly in this incident, as we also say a prayer for all emergency responders and caregivers.
The assailant and his accomplice’s bodies were taken to the Department of Forensic Sciences for Post Mortem Examinations after they were taken from the scene of a fire in the apartment where this tragic incident ended in Auburn.
