Drug Arrests Made
On May 14, 2019, the Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force and the Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at a residence on Hwy 49 South in the Reeltown area. The search warrant was a result of a probation violation arrest warrant detail for a fugitive from Lee County. Investigators were made aware of the suspect location and went to arrest him on outstanding warrants; the individual attempted to flee out the back door but was apprehended quickly. Narcotics and paraphernalia were in plain view, and allowed investigators to obtain a search warrant. Recovered from the residence were approximately 33 grams of marijuana and 9 grams of crystal meth.
