1 child dies, 3 suffer serious injuries in B’ham house fire

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A fire early Thursday morning in Wylam killed a 4-year-old child and injured three others, including a 5-month-old, a 3-year-old, and a 23-year-old woman.

Birmingham Battalion Chief Sebastian Carrillo says crews responded to the house fire in the 4500 block of 8th Avenue.

The two children were taken to Children’s Hospital and the adult was taken to Princeton Hospital for treatment of what officials call serious injuries.

ATF and the arson K9 arrived at the scene.
