AL.com received data from the Alabama Department of Public Health this month on medical and religious immunization exemptions for Alabama schools. More than 1500 Alabama schools responded to the voluntary survey.

You can search for your school in the database by clicking this link.

Most of the schools with potentially low vaccination rates are private. The 19 schools with the highest exemption rates are all private schools.

Compare the rates of the top five private schools by exemption rate against the top five public schools.

The ADPH data also included numbers on certificates of immunization, also known as blue slips. These are records collected by the school that confirm a student has been vaccinated.

Several Alabama schools – most of them public – have a high number of missing certificates, according to ADPH.
