STATEWIDE ALERT issued for missing 17-year-old Opelika girl

State authorities have issued an emergency alert for an Opelika teen who has been missing since Wednesday night.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 17-year-old Emalee Stringfellow was supposed to meet her friends in Tiger Town Wednesday night but never arrived. She was reported missing at 11:45 p.m.

Stringfellow was last seen leaving her residents on North 19th Place in Opelika. She was driving a silver 2008 Dodge Avenger.

She is described as 5-feet, 4-inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. Stringfellow has long, brown hair. She was last seen wearing a tan T-shirt, black shorts, and gray tennis shoes.
