A Chilton County inmate who spent four months on the lam after escaping from a state prison was recaptured Wednesday, the Alabama Department of Corrections said.

Kevin Bradley Nelson, 50, surrendered to Chilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies in Clanton without incident around 11 a.m. Wednesday.
