A teacher at Hueytown Middle School was arrested at the school Thursday on public intoxication charges, according to Jefferson County Jail records and a published report.
Christina Horton, 46, of Maylene in Shelby County, was arrested by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies on a charge of public intoxication at 3:56 p.m. Thursday, records showed. She was released on $300 bond.
Horton was identified by WBRC as a seventh grade English teacher at Hueytown Middle School.
The school told the station in a statement that it is “aware of this incident” but declined further comment.
