A teenager from Talladega has been found shot to death inside a car in Anniston.
The Anniston Police Department said in a release that officers were called to the 3800 block of Noble Street on Wednesday to respond to shots fired.
When they arrived, they found 18-year-old Jumar Sims Jr of Talladega unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a Nissan Altima. The car was off the roadway.
It was later determined that Sims was deceased due to an apparent gunshot.
During the investigation, officers learned that there were at least three other people inside the car when it left the roadway. Those individuals, also from Talladega, were located, questioned, and released.
