On April 28, 2020, the Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force and Camp Hill Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence on Holley Avenue after an apparent drive by shooting. When officers arrived at the scene, they noticed multiple bullet casings in the yard and road. But this wasn’t the first incident of this type the police responded to within a month time span. On March 26, 2020, police investigated a shooting that resulted inthe death of 34 yearold, Avious Floyd; and another drive by shooting occurred there on April 9, 2020. Last night officers made an arrest of a Camp Hill man, believed to be partly responsible for this chaos that has the neighbors and the community in fear. Recovered during the search warrant was an American Tactical AR-15 pistol, a Canik 9mm pistol, prescription drugs and marijuana.
Arrested and charged with:three (3) counts of Possession of Controlled Substance, two (2) counts of Possession of Marijuana 1st degree, two (2) counts of Illegal Possession of Prescription Drugs,Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm, two (2) counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernaliawas:Carstavious “Man” Stovall, 29yoa of Camp Hill, Al.
Stovall was out on bond for a 2018 drug trafficking case, whereas to date there have been six (6) drug related search warrants executed at this residence.
The investigation of the possession, distribution and trafficking of illegal narcotics is ongoing in Tallapoosa County.
