Alabama adds 854 coronavirus cases as hospitalizations hit high of 715

Alabama added more than 850 coronavirus cases since yesterday as hospitalizations due to the virus reached the highest level since tracking began.

The Alabama Department of Public Health’s June 30 10 a.m. numbers show 37,536 cases in the state, up 854 from yesterday. As of yesterday, 715 people were hospitalized due to the virus, up 65 from the previous day and the highest level recorded since ADPH began COVID-19 testing.

There have been 926 COVID deaths in Alabama and 18,866 recoveries.

The state has reported 406,143 coronavirus tests with 111,753 coming in the last two weeks. Of the tests conducted in the last 14 days, 10,715 were positive.
