Alabama added 1,614 new coronavirus cases since yesterday.

The July 12 10 a.m. numbers show 52,908 COVID-19 cases in the state.

The state has had 1,093 coronavirus deaths, adding 7 since yesterday. Five percent of all Alabama COVID deaths were among people with no underlying health conditions, with patients ranging in age from 33 to 99.

Hospitalizations dropped to 1,068 from 1,201 the previous day though the number of hospitals dropped from 104 to 88, something that’s typically occurred over the weekend.

Alabama has tested 145,064 people in the past 14 days, with 16,339 cases identified during that time. Just over 510,820 have been tested since March.
