Chambers County Law Enforcement Agency’s Press Release

On October 28, 2020, after being informed that they were one of the 450 possible recipients of COVID-19 equipment, Employees representing each law enforcement agency in Chambers county traveled to Montgomery to meet with Program Manager John Rodgers and the staff of the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs Division.
Each Chambers County Law Enforcement Agency received Multiple (PPE) kits Personal Protection Equipment that had been granted to each agency provided by the U.S. Department of Justice to Alabama under the Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding program. These kits included protective mask and gloves, hand sanitizer, disinfectants, decontaminant foggers and pressure washers.
Sheriff Lockhart and the Chiefs of Police from Valley, Lanett and Lafayette would like to thank ADECA and other agencies involved in this purchase and distribution of this equipment. It is believed this safety equipment will provide a safer environment for our men and women in law Enforcement as they perform their daily duties.
