ALEA PRESS RELEASE: 2 VEHICLE CRASS IN LEE COUNTY INVOLVING LEE COUNTY DEPUTY VEHICLE

A two-vehicle crash at approximately 8:24 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, has injured an on-duty Lee County Sheriff’s Deputy. Deputy Ryan A. Anglin, 30, was injured when the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe patrol vehicle he was driving collided with a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado. The driver of the Silverado, Robert F. Parker, 60, of Salem, was also injured during the crash.

The crash occurred on Lee County 239 at Lee County 240, approximately four miles west of Smiths Station.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
