Drug Distribution Arrest

On March 11, 2021, Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force and ALEA Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in Notasulga off Alabama Highway 120. The search warrant was the culmination of an extensive investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs from the Montgomery & Macon County area into Tallapoosa County. The investigation targeted James McKenzie III also known as “Mac”. McKenzie was found to be a source of drug distribution within the Notasulga area of Tallapoosa County.

This investigation marks the continued effort of the Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force and our partnership with the ALEA Region D, Drug Task Force to curb the flow of illegal narcotics into the county and east Alabama.

Arrested and charged with: six (6) counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana 1st degree, Possession of Precursor Chemical, Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia was: James McKenzie III, 21 yoa, of Tuskegee, Al.

The investigation of the possession, distribution and trafficking of illegal narcotics is ongoing in Tallapoosa County.
