Richard Carter, Republican Candidate For Chambers County Sheriff (NO ENDORSEMENT MADE) (Taken From The Candidates Website)

“For the last 3 decades, it has been my honor to serve the citizens of Chambers County.  I’ve always worked hard to make the community I love a safer place to live.  My entire adult life has been about serving our nation and the citizens of this great county, for which I am eternally grateful.  I still can’t believe it’s been that long, but I believe I still have more to do, to offer, and to accomplish.  My goal is to leave things better than when I started.  I pledge that I will continue that path regardless of age, race, sex, party affiliation, social status, and belief system.  I will work actively within the community for EVERYONE.  I understand the diverse law enforcement needs across Chambers County because I have spent my entire law enforcement career here.  My focus will be to foster and build community partnerships, working with other Chambers County professionals in law enforcement, EMS, fire and human services for the benefit of our entire community.  We will have a Sheriff’s Office that is strengthened through staff development, empowerment, retention, and community interaction.  We’ve accomplished a lot, but we’re not there yet. And that is why I am running for the office of Sheriff.”
