Good evening to all of our CCSD families and local media outlets,
After conferring with our Chambers County EMA Director, our Superintendent, Mr. Chambley, and our Director of Transportation, Mr. Mitchum, a decision was made to delay the start of school by two hours for all of our staff and students in the district for tomorrow.
Again, please note that we will delay the start of school by two hours for Thursday, March 31st for all students and staff in Chambers County. Buses will run two hours later for morning pick-up routes.
The decision was made to ensure our buses could run safely for students without the risk of fallen debris in the roads in the early morning as well as travel for staff.
Please continue to stay safe and be mindful of this weather system tonight.
