Mr. Carlisle passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at his residence. He was born on September 3, 1941 in Cusseta, Alabama to Johnny Carlisle and Florence Cassidy Carlisle. John Riley lived life at full speed with no regrets. He loved his cars, traveling with his family and friends and Alabama football. Most importantly his life was spent serving others. He never met a stranger or failed to lend a hand.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandra Carlisle of Dadeville; daughter, Carla Winslett (Stanley) of Nolensville, TN; son, Hunter Carlisle (Iris) of Camp Hill; mother-in-law, Sara Richardson; grandchildren, Sara Carlisle Winslett, Alexandra Winslett, Savanna Winslett, Jessalyn Chaney (Matt), Jennifer Smith; sons, Scott Alexander, Billy Lane; brothers-in-law, Mike Richardson (Tammie), Jeff Richardson; John Will Phillips, Walter Brown; aunt, Ruth Patterson and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Carlisle (Jane); sisters, Jean Smith (Travis), Shirley Phillips and Joyce Morrow (Terrell).
