The Obituary for Mr. Willie Sandy “Bo” Myhand, Jr.


Funeral service for Willie Myhand, 48, of Beauregard, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Christ Temple Holiness Church, 610 Clanton Street, Opelika, AL 36801 with interment in Garden Hills Cemetery, Bishop Kenneth L. Carter, Sr., will officiate.

Mr. Myhand, who passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at his home in Beauregard, Alabama, was born April 23, 1970 in Lee County, AL. He was well known at Kroger Grocery Store in Opelika for over 30 years.

Public viewing will be Friday, March 1, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Mr. Myhand will lie in state one hour prior to the services at the church.

Survivors include: wife, Latonia Gibson Myhand of Beauregard, AL; two sons, Vontarious Gibson and Martavious Myhand both of Beauregard, AL; one granddaughter, Zoe Gibson of Beauregard, AL; mother, Earnestine Myhand of Beauregard, AL; one brother, Weylin Myhand of Beauregard, AL; one sister, Anita (John) Harris of Beauregard; father & mother-in-law, Wayne and Betty Gibson of Beauregard, AL; five uncles, Jimmy Adams of Jacksonville, FL, Tommy (Becky) Adams of Graham, NC, Carver (Pearlene) Myhand of Huntsville, AL, Julius (Emma) Myhand of Tuskegee, AL and Grady Love of Opelika, AL; three aunts, Allouise Washington of Toledo, OH, Ruth Norton  of Auburn, AL and Tracy Frazier of Beauregard, AL; one great aunt, Bessie Reeves of Fernandina Beach, FL; one sister-in-law, Demetria (Demetrius) Morris of Beauregard, AL; two nieces, Makala Gibson and Shalundra (John) Ware; three nephews, Ricky Core, Janorris Carter and Le’Andre Core; extended family, Jackie Fowler, Bethena Fowler, Johnny Fowler III and Cedric Love; best friends, Angelo Frazier and, Henry Lilly; a host of other relatives and friends.
