Funeral services for Mr. Bobby C. Adamson, age 76 of Lineville, will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Rev. Steve Powell and Dr. Robert Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in the Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Adamson passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the Clay County Hospital. A lifelong resident of Clay County, Mr. Adamson graduated from Lineville High School. He then attended the Alabama Christian College in Montgomery and received his Bachelor of Law from Wilson College of Law in Atlanta, GA. He worked for many years as a bonding agent for Crum & Forester Insurance Agency; where he traveled alongside them while working in many states. He was also a member of the Church of Christ faith.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cathy Haywood Adamson of Lineville; one sister, Lisa Hanner (Mike) of Shelby; three brothers: Jimmy Adamson (Jelima) of Lineville, Curtis Adamson (Sarah) of Ashland, and Roy Adamson (Donna) of Lineville; his mother-in-law, Helen Haywood, his brother-in-law, Greg Haywood both of Lineville; a host of nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlis Clyde Adamson and Eunice Catherine Mitchell Adamson.
Active Pallbearers will be: Aaron farrow, Chuck Brimer, Clint Jones, and Randy Whited.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: the members of Campbell Springs Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., and up until service time at 2:00 P.M.
