Mr. Keel passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at his residence. He was born on September 15, 1934 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Douglas Otis Keel and Annie Pearl Scott Keel. He attended Dadeville Church of God. He retired from Russell Corporation after 40 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed being outside working in his yard, hunting and fishing in his younger years, and working with wood. He was an amazing storyteller and loved his family greatly.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Ann Sanders (Randall) of Valley; son, Jeffery Otis Keel (Martha) of New Site; grandchildren, Derrik Lee Sanders (Abby), Dylan Ray Sanders (Rebecca) and Amber Nicole Keel; great-grandchildren, Ruby Sanders, Raylee Sanders and Sophia Sanders; sister, Myrtice Futral and Vyrtice Barrett, both of Alexander City; and brother, Eugene Keel of Kellyton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha D. Keel; two sisters and three brothers.
