Obituary for Mr. Charles Lee “Charlie” Brown

Funeral Service for Mr. Charles Lee “Charlie” Brown, 49, of Dadeville, will be Friday, November 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Donald DeLee will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Radney Funeral Home.

Mr. Brown passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Lake Martin Community Hospital. He was born on September 19, 1970 in Opelika, Alabama to Charles Larry Brown and Lovean Vera Gregg Brown. He attended West End Baptist Church. Charlie was an avid Alabama fan and loved Hank Williams, Jr. He enjoyed riding around, cooking, eating and spending time with his family. He was a comedian and could always make others laugh.

He is survived by his sister, Lannett Horsley (Robert); nephews, Christopher Horsley (Stephanie), Steven Horsley, and Davey Horsley; great nieces, Hailey Horsley, Natalie McKinney and Jada Horsley; great nephews, James Robert Horsley and Logan Horsley; daughter, Kaitlyn Nolen; son, James Brown; aunts and uncles, Linda Baird (James), J.T. Gregg (Kimm) and Robert Gregg (Raina); and a host of other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandfather, Ocie C. Brown.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to Radney Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
