Graveside Service for Mrs. Joyce McCurry Easterling, 73, of Alexander City, Alabama will be Friday, January 31, 2020 at 3:00 pm at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Reggie Kirk and Rev. Gary Mitchell will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.

Mrs. Easterling passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Grandview Medical Center. She was born on March 14, 1946 in Anniston, Alabama to George O. McCurry and Alba Ruth Griffith McCurry. Mrs. Easterling retired in 2005 from Russell Corporation # 9. Her life was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a joyful Christian, loved her Lord and Savior with all her heart and was a faithful church member to New Beginning Baptist Church. She loved her church family and taught children in Sunday School and VBS. She was the most selfless and dedicated woman to her family and always thought of them before herself. She loved to cook and have her family and friends over to enjoy the food. Her specialty was loaded potato soup, chili, potato salad, and cornbread. Her favorite foods to eat were peanut butter pie and ice cream and she believed peanut butter would cure anything. She was an excellent host and loved people. She loved to clean and it had to be immaculate and if it was not she would redo it.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin Adams (Michael); son, Nolen Smith; grandchildren, Stephen Adams, Justin Adams (Blair), Josh Smith, Austin Smith (Fiance` Alisha) and Hanna Smith; great-grandchildren, Ryland Adams, Charlie Kate Adams, Oakley Smith and Ayla Gilley, sister, Tammy Elliott (Johnny); brothers, David McCurry and Sammy McCurry (Sara); niece, Raigan Elliott (Fiance` Wayne); nephews, Chris McCurry, Logan Elliott and Brandon McCurry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Easterling; parents; brothers, Ovell, Albert & Arthur McCurry and great-granddaughter, Zoey Jayne Adams.

Radney Funeral Home of Alexander City, AL is directing.
