Patricia K. “Pat” Hanners, age 66 of Ashland, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. She was born in Clay County, Alabama graduated from Clay County High School in 1972, had worked for several years with Southland Manufacturing and also as a substitute teacher. Pat had a great love for her Clay County Panthers, Alabama Football; she also enjoyed bowling, reading, and was a great cook, that deeply loved her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband; Randy Hanners of Ashland, her daughter; Miranda Rapp (Neal) of Baton Rouge, LA, three sisters; Ann Lumpkin (Jim) of Lineville, Liz Horn of Alabaster, and Sharon McVay (Stanley) of Ashland, one brother; Lloyd Smith Jr. (Martha) of Eastaboga, one sister-in-law, Agnes O’Neal of TN, also four grandchildren, Alexis and Damon Wilkerson, and Juiliana and Bryson Rapp.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Lloyd L. Smith Sr. and Flora Mai O’Neal Smith, and one brother James O’Neal.
There are no services planned at this time, however; in lieu of flowers anyone wishing to leave memorials in her memory may do so with the Ashland Fire Department or Ashland City Library.
