The Obituary for Mr. Cody Gough (Chambers & Tallapoosa Counties)

1601

Cody was born on  February 1st, 1998 in Valley, Alabama. He was the second son of Donald and Angela (Gunn) Gough of Lanett, Alabama.

Cody was unique from the day he was born. He always wanted to make people laugh and love him. Trouble was he didn’t need to try! His beautiful soul made everyone who came in contact with him instantly love him.

An avid hunter, adventurous spirit and just a good ole country boy made Cody a person you wanted as a friend and someone you loved to talk to and just have a drink with. He loved to refer to himself as an outlaw. He had decided with Macie, that she was his partner in crime and him and her would call themselves outlaws.

He left this world all too soon on April 13, 2020.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory along with his parents and his Godparents Soni and Jessie Pagan, a son Mason Gough, and a daughter Macie Gough. His fiancé Charity Allen Gough all of Alexander City, Alabama.  He also leaves two brothers Hunter (Katlyn) and Andrew Gough and fiancé, Megan Brown all of Valley, Alabama.  He has one sister Miranda Gough of Lanett, Alabama. His Paternal Grandmother Peggy Gough of Lanett, Alabama and his maternal Grandmother Dell Clay of Valley, Alabama. He also leaves behind a host of Uncle’s, Aunt’s, cousins and friends to cherish his memory and try to fill the void he has left in all of us.

He was preceded in death by his paternal Grandfather, Gene Gough and his maternal Grandfather, Thomas Stone, and his best friend and cousin Blayke Henderson.

Due to the current social gathering restrictions no services are planned at this time.  The family will have a memorial service sometime soon. The family can be reached at his parents home 4377 20th Street SW Lanett, Alabama.

Johnson Brown Service Funeral Home in Valley, Alabama is in charge of the arrangements.
