The Obituary for Mrs. Anita Jane Hogan (Tallapoosa County)


Mrs. Anita Jane Hogan, age 57, of Alexander City, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at her residence. She was born on November 15, 1962 in Lagrange, Georgia to James Hogan, Jr. and Virginia Louise Sims. Mrs. Hogan loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid Alabama fan and she loved her jewelry.

She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Vaughan (Richard) of Alexander City, Amy Cossey Cosby (Wesley) of Alexander City and Crystal Johnson Summers of Missouri; Mother, Virginia Louise Sims of SC; grandchildren, Alexandria Tucker, Pamela Triplett, Benjamin Triplett, Jr., Dege Vaughan, Elizabeth Culp, Guy Vaughan, Billie Jordan and Alexis Cossey; twelve great grandchildren; brothers, David Hogan of Daviston, Clifford Hogan (Teresa) of Alexander City and Darrell Hogan (Mindy) of Wadley; sisters, Katherine Morgan (Roger) of Alexander City, Sylvia Watts (John) of SC, Samantha Cossey of Alexander City, Toni Hogan of Wadley and Shelia Cowart of GA.

She was preceded in death by her Father, James Hogan, Jr.; grandchildren, Denah Bishop, Terra Bradshaw, Brian Bradshaw and Brianna Bradshaw; and brother, Ronnie Hogan.

A private family graveside service will be held.
All visitations and services will be held in compliance with the mandated rules from Alabama Dept of Public Health.
