The Obituary for Mr. Jesse Eugene Gore (Tallapoosa County)


Mr. Jesse Eugene Gore, 91, of Alexander City, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at his home. He was born on March 13, 1929 in Franklin, Georgia to Rev. Lewis Alvin “L.A.” Gore and Lola Denney Gore. He was an active member of Alexander City Independent Methodist Church. He was truly a Christian man. He loved spending time in his garden. He loved his family dearly, and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Melver Dene Gore; daughters, Carolyn Sears (David) of Montgomery, AL, and Lori McCollum (Timothy); grandchildren, Sarah Carol Sears of Montgomery, AL, Anna Jean Sears Maze (Jake) of Opelika, AL, and Marley Nicole McCollum; great-grandchild, Madison Maze of Opelika, AL; brother, Charles Gore (Dara) of Franklin, GA, and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Lewis Gore.
A private family service was held.

All visitations and services will be held in compliance with the mandated rules from Alabama Dept of Public Health.
