The Obituary for Mr. McAuthur “Mac” White (Tallapoosa County)


Graveside Service for Mr. McArthur “Mac” White, 78, of Dadeville, will be Friday, May 15, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. Deryck Hodge, Scott Harris, and Jerry Carter will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 15, 2020 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Langley Funeral Home.

Mr. White passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Lake Martin Community Hospital. He was born on May 8, 1942 in Eagle Creek, Alabama to William Dewey White and Sarah Jane Dye White. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and riding the golf cart with the boys. He was very mischievous and loved to sing and make up lyrics to his favorite songs. He was a handyman and an avid gardener. He loved his family, especially the grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Jelene Duck(Michael) and Connie Huff (JoJo) both of Dadeville; grandchildren, Ansley Duck Carpenter (Tripp), Logan Duck (Shelby Saxon), and Josh Huff (Raygan); great-grandchildren, Grayson Huff and Braxton Carpenter; brother, Thomas White (Mary Ann) of Dadeville; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bill and Carol Meadows.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Gale White; his parents; brothers, Theron White, Athen White, Durell White, Robert White; sisters, Mary Ellen Phillips, Juanita W Payne, and Alton Meadows.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church 1731 Buttston Road Dadeville, AL 36853.

All visitations and services will be held in compliance with the mandated rules from Alabama Dept of Public Health.
