Mrs. Jones passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020 at her residence.  She was born on February 8, 1928 in Pike Co, Alabama to Charlie Leon McVey and Pauline Barfoot  McVey.  Married to Daddy for 71 years at his death. Mama loved her family. She would do without to see that we got what we needed..she always had a vegetable garden and canned many many many jars of food over the years. She filled up freezer after freezer full of veggies and fruits. She loved working in her yard and always had a “green thumb”. Just this summer we canned about 170 qts of green beans, about 60 pts of tomatoes and just a few weeks ago 35 pts of homemade veggie soup. Mama loved to quilt and made a few this year. She was a very active 92 years young.   There are so many sweet and beautiful things to say about mama but to make it simple, she loved. Our family never doubted her love for all of us.  This year she will be celebrating Christmas in Heaven with Daddy and Jesus. What more could we ask?  We already miss her but we know she has a brand new body and is with others she loves. We miss you Mama but will see you soon. We love you.

She is survived by her children, Christine Gregg(Baron), Terry Jones (Rita),  Randall Jones (Donna), and Barbara Edmondson; grandchildren, Scotty Gregg, Stacy Sanders (Drew),  Angel  Evans,  Chasity Lopez (Jacobo),  Damien (Bo) Evans (Brook),  Brad Jones, Misty Jones, Annabelle Jones,  Stephen  Jones, Joshua Jones, Stephanie Jones, and Amanda Mask (Jason); 29 great children; 8 great great grandchildren;  sisters, Effie Little, Glenda Moore, and Waydene Bishop; and brothers, Bobby McVey and Robert McVey.
