Mrs. Mary Lee Barnes Williams, a resident of Lanett, AL, died Monday, December 28, 2020 at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, AL.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Sunday, January 3, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. (EST) from Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Parking Lot, 1601 Magnolia Road, Lanett, AL 36863, Rev. Warren Goss, Officiant and Rev. Dr. Lamar D. Johnson, Pastor/Eulogist.

Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Lanett, AL with Bishop Donald Lancaster, Assisting. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.

Public Viewing is scheduled for Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. (EST) from Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.

Mrs.Williams enjoyed a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She retired from Lanier Memorial Hospital with over 25 years of service and afterwards worked for three years as the office nurse for Dr. Arvind Kamath. She was an Eastern Star member of Lodge 165 Mary Chapter #34 where she held the position of Most Ancient Matron of Heroine of Jericho for years. A faithful member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church for over 60 years, she was the Counselor Emeritus of the Nurses Guild, a member of the Deacon Wives Ministry, Matron Ministry and “Women for Christ” Sunday School Class. Her survivors include: her husband of 60 plus years, Deacon George N. Williams, Sr.; two sons, George N. Williams, Jr. and Osmund L. Williams; grandchildren Takela Wright;, Allison Jackson, Tionne (Tila) Williams; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
