Graveside services for Mrs. Irma Wesley, age 89 of Talladega, will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Andy Camp officiating. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the family request that anyone that attends the service to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Mrs. Irma passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Talladega Health & Rehab. A lifelong resident of Clay County, she graduated from Bibb Graves High school in 1950. She was a homemaker that loved her family and helping anyone in need. Mrs. Irma enjoyed sewing, cooking and hand embroidery. She was a member of Hatchet Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Renee Davis of Alexander City, her son, Craig Wesley (Lisa) of Talladega, two sisters: Allean Welcher of Talladega and Ruby Moore of Wetumpka, her brother, Rubin Pitts (Annie Mae) of Lipscomb, six grandchildren: Colin Wesley (Donna), Phillip Wesley, Chris Wesley, Janie Waldrop, Brad Wesley (Christy) and Eric Wesley, seven great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Janie Pitts, her husband, Felton Wesley, her daughter, Marsha Ballard, and three sisters: Myrtis Pepper, Dot Carr and Annette Few.
Active Pallbearers will be: Colin Wesley, Brad Wesley, Phillip Wesley, Eric Wesley, Gary Few and Tony Davis.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: John Laverty and Greg Kersten.
Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of the arrangements.
