After a long 15 year battle with PSP, Norm passed away on January 22, 2021. Norman Henry Davis, Jr. (75) passed away peacefully at home in Jacksons Gap where he has lived for the past 5 years.

 

A life-long resident of Mobile, AL, Norm graduated from Murphy HS and the University of South Alabama before attending law school at Cumberland Law School.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Grace Davis.

 

He is survived by Dawn, his wife of 49 years, daughters Amy Adams (Forrest), Amanda Eckerman (Nevin), and Mary Beyer Lell (Paul), 6 grandchildren, Blakely, Trace, Anna Frances, Mary Hadley, Elizabeth, Sullivan, sisters Pam Green and Susie Hargrove (Buddy), sister-in-law Sherri Forrester (Tom), numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to loving his family and friends, Norm loved tennis, golf, old music, and his LSU tigers. Before attending law school, Norm taught school. He practiced law in Mobile for over 30 years and his quick wit and ability to tell a joke will be missed by family and friends. He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and frequent visitor at St. James in Alexander City.

 

Due to COVID, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Mobile, Alabama or a charity of your choice.
