The Obituary for Patsy Ruth Sessions Smith (Chambers County)


 Patsy Ruth Sessions Smith went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 28th, 2021. She was born August 9th, 1930, in Lanett, AL to the late Tim and Jewell Sessions.

     She was also preceded in death by her brother, Sonny Sessions; sister, Earline Norred; and brother-in-law, Billy Norred.

     Patsy is survived by her daughter, Louise Still Fuller (Ed); grandson, Scott Fuller (Skye); Granddaughter, Allison Mulloy (Justin); and great grandchildren, Stella Mulloy, Emilia Mulloy, and Tallulah Fuller. Also surviving are her sister, Yvonne Sledge (Don); sister-in-law, Novice Sessions; and several nieces and nephews.

     Patsy was a retired nurse. She spent most of her nursing career at Lanier Memorial Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit. After retiring, from nursing, she worked for several more years as the Activities Director at LaFayette Extended Care.

     She was an active member of Roper Heights Baptist Church in West Point, GA where she taught adult Sunday School for many years. As her health declined, she had to give up teaching but continued as a prayer leader for several years.

     A private family memorial service will be held at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Lanett, AL.
