1929 – 2021

Funeral Service for Mrs. Grace Hawkins, 91, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Greenview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hawkins passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center.  She was born on February 26, 1929 in Alexander City, Alabama to Curtis Pettus and Alva   Pettus.  She was a member of Goodwater Baptist Church. She was a sweet, kind, and strong woman, who was always taking care of others. She loved gardening and trying new things. She enjoyed reading mysteries and watching Hallmark movies. She loved to cook for her family and friends and was always being asked to fix something, because everything she made was good. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Greg Hawkins; grandchildren, Bridget Hawkins, Kennedy Hawkins, Jared Hawking (Jane), Jason Hawkins, Rachel Hawkins, and Destiny Peppers (Dwayne); great-grandchildren, Kellie King (Cody), Danielle Mitchell, Isaiah Walls, Calvin Walls, Madison Hawkins, Liam Peppers, Lexi Peppers, Alice Hawkins, Claire Hawkins, and Holly Hawkins; great great-grandchild, Haven King; and brother, Howard Pettus.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Hawkins; sons, Ronald Gene Hawkins, and Gary Hawkins; parents; and brothers, Blake Pettus, and Lloyd Sprayberry.
