Robert “Bob” H. Clowdus
April 14, 1950 – February 15, 2021
After a long and brave battle with prostate cancer since 2006, Bob passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family who loved him dearly. He will be missed each and every day but we find comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain or suffering as he is in Heaven with his Holy Father.
Bob was an electrical contractor and worked in the area many years along with his two sons of whom he was very proud. He loved more than anything to spend time with his grandson and fishing in the pond.
Bob was a member of New Providence Baptist Church and served as a deacon. He loved his church and especially his church family.
Bob is survived by his wife, Mary Emily Clowdus; sons, Robert A. Clowdus and Joe Clowdus (Candi); grandson, River Clowdus; best friend and cousin, Michael Garrett of Birmingham, Alabama; mother, Bess Mulligan of Clanton, Alabama, and sisters, Cheryl Sandlin (A.L.) of Birmingham, Alabama, and Traci Smith (Craig) from Clanton, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wilson Clowdus.
A Private Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Chris Crumbley officiating.
