The Obituary for Mr. Danny Kaye Brewer (Tallapoosa & Montgomery Counties)


Graveside Service for Mr. Danny Kaye Brewer, 72, of Montgomery, will be Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Dadeville City Cemetery. Bro. Mike Northcutt will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Langley Funeral Home.

Mr. Brewer passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at his home. He was born on June 16, 1948 in Dadeville, Alabama to Jesse Willard Brewer and Sarah Hancock Brewer. He was strong in his faith and was an active member of Eastmont Baptist Church. He was full of life and always smiling. He was a big sports fan and enjoyed watching everything including the Atlanta Braves and Auburn sports, and even working with the Montgomery Biscuits for seven years. He was a pharmacist throughout his life, and he was known as “Papa Doc” in his family because of his work. He was an avid John Wayne fan and enjoyed watching Westerns. He loved spending time with his grandkids, from watching their sports and activities to reading them bedtime stories. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rhonda Brewer of Montgomery, AL; daughters, Kellie Blackmon (Brian) of Troy, AL, Kristie Northern (Will) of Trussville, AL, and Kerrie McCracken (Mac) of Opelika, AL; grandchildren, Cade Blackmon, Carlyle Blackmon, Deandre Butler, Trent Northern, Grant Northern, Kyndall McCracken, Dax McCracken, and Kamdyn McCracken; brother, Kenny Brewer (Linda); numerous nieces & nephews; and beloved pets, Josie and Annie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

All visitations and services will be held in compliance with the mandated rules from Alabama Dept of Public Health.
