Obituary for Mr. John Wayne King

Mr. John Wayne King, 80, of Dadeville, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at his residence. He was born on August 1, 1940 in Alexander City, Alabama to John Thomas King and Edna Eloise Lindsey King. Johnny grew up in the Avondale Mill village in Alexander City. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served as a jet mechanic. He was a graduate of Auburn University and later retired from Auburn University as a Radiological Safety Officer.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 53 years, Alice B. King of Dadeville; nephew, Randy King of Auburn and a host of other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Wayne King; brothers, Sim Allen King and Reuben Kyle King; and sisters, Avinell “Judy” Fisch, Tommie Hornsby and Juanita Miles.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
