The Obituary for Mrs. Eddie Lene Moncrief (Tallapoosa County)


Funeral Service for Mrs. Eddie Lene Moncrief, 89, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm at Radney Funeral Home.

Mrs. Moncrief passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Brown Nursing Home.  She was born on June 17, 1932, in Clay County, Alabama to James Arthur Mask and Myrtle Maudie Lee Mask. Eddie was a loving mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed reading her bible, cooking wonderful beef stew for her family, listening to country and gospel music, and playing Rook. The wonderful nurses and staff at Brown Nursing Home became part of her family, whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by her son, Richard Barrett (Susan); grandchildren, Elizabeth Sheth (Jason), Kevin Barrett, Colin Barrett; great-grandchildren, Allie Sheth, Hillary Sheth, Jason Sheth Jr., Sophia Barrett, and brother, Roger “Chick” Mask.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Bobby June Mask, James J. Mask, Virginia Mask Gortney, Bill Mask, Mancel “Buck” Mask, Doug Mask, and John Harvey Mask.
