Alberta Huston, 84 of Opelika passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 after a lengthy illness from Alzheimer’s.
Alberta was born October 3, 1936 in Goodwater, Alabama to John and Leona Haynes. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Excelle Talton, Mae Richardson, Hilda Gardner, Sara Hughes and Martha McDaniel, William Haynes, and Clanton Haynes.
Alberta is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Alvin Huston; children: Sharon (Terry) Lee, Al (Renee) Huston; grandchildren: Trey (Dana) Lee, Garrett Huston, Keely Huston; great grandchildren: Alyssa Lee, Alyson Lee, Robert Tyson; special nieces and nephews: Pat (John) Blythe, Sherri (Kelley) Griswold, Wayne Talton; siblings: Sheila Stephens, John Haynes, Jr., Frances Haynes and Clinton Haynes.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Harbor at Opelika Memory Care Facility.
