The Obituary for Mrs. Ruby Luverne Hatchett (Tallapoosa & Coosa Counties)


Funeral Service for Mrs. Ruby Luverne Hatchett, 96, of Rockford, Alabama, will be Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Union Baptist Church.  Rev. Ricky Hatchett will officiate.  Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hatchett passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at her residence.  She was born on November 19, 1924 in Weogufka, Alabama to Albert Posco Bryant and Della  Haywood Bryant.  She was an active member of Union Baptist Church and taught children’s Sunday School for many years. She loved quilting and made quilts for her family members and was a great artist.  She was an excellent cook and was well known for her biscuits. She made unusual toys for all the children.

She is survived by her children, George Michael Hatchett (My) of Alexander City, Ricky Bruce Hatchett (Rena) of Thorsby, Rodney Hatchett (Amy) of Sylacauga, Kerry Lee Hatchett (Amanda) of Alexander City, Nida Smith (Jimmy) of Rockford, Brenda Evans (John) of Gainesville, GA, Kathy Russell of Sylacauga, Gennie Collier of Auburn, Vickie Wilsford (Tim) of Hope Hull, Joy Henderson (Mitch) of Goodwater; _ Grandchildren, _ great grandchildren, _ Great-Great-Grandchildren with more coming soon.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, George Washington Hatchett, Father, Albert Posco Bryant, Mother, Della Bryant; and all of her siblings.
