Funeral services for Gratho Conn, age 75, of Roanoke will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Keith Benefield officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor’s Crossroads Church of Christ Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
Mr. Conn passed away Friday, September 20, 2019, at his residence.
Survivors include: two daughters, Tiffany Conn of Roanoke and Janice Conn of Jasper; seven grandchildren, Brett Conn, Kenneth Conn, Brittany Conn Eastwood, Peyton Couey, Heath Conn, Amber Taylor, and Haley Taylor; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Blum of Florida, Linda Ford Howell of Betsy Lane, KY, and Mable Maynard of Pikeville, KY; and one brother, Lando Conn of Cleveland, TN.
Pallbearers will be Brett Conn, Kenneth Conn, Quinton Roland, Frankie Nabarro, Kyle McFarlan, and Josh Capo.
A Pikeville, Kentucky native, Mr. Conn was born on December 6, 1943, the son of Willie and Elsie McCoy Conn. He was Baptist by faith and worked as a security guard and in the coal mines in Pikeville, Kentucky. Mr. Conn was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Heath Conn and Joel Conn; two brothers, Lundy Conn and Gene Conn; and a sister, Betty Sue Conn.
